Krystal Grossmith — Founder & Managing Director
Krystal is a passionate entrepreneur and founder of Nourished Planet. She is fascinated by closed loop food systems, an interest that sprouted on her uncle’s farm in Indiana as he embraced sustainable practices to improve operations.
After nearly 15 years of working with food and beverage companies both domestically and internationally, Krystal is driven to propel the food industry by solving systemic problems that have led to climate change and socioeconomic inequities. Her experiences living and working in Japan and France also provided insights into how global sustainability practices enrich local cultures.
Krystal’s mission is to help others reach a higher level of contribution to the world by doing better. Krystal holds an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. from UC Berkeley. She is a board member of Preserve Farm Kitchens, an award-winning specialty foods producer that works with responsible brands and farmers to make value added products. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a mom of two young boys.
